…is history. The powers that be have informed me that Prattville is not a go. This means that two of the staple clubs for Bamacross are gone. I’ll have to do some shuffling, but we will replace that race with something in the area. Careful what you wish for, I suppose. I’ve wanted a series that was B’ham central and I guess I’m getting it, like it or not. Now to find another venue…solve a problem gain a problem. Of course this is just life, eh?
It’s time to get Cooper Green up and running. I’m planning a long workday out there on Sunday starting early, 8:30. If you have a weedeater or lawnmower, bring it. Gloves and rakes will be needed. Ride and refresh afterwards.

crap. what happened to cooter?
It really breaks our hearts folks, but it’s just not logistically possible this year. Y’all know how much we love putting on this race. Fortunately, Bamacross has developed some of the best venues I have ever raced (No small feat). We hope to contribute again next season.
Loved the cooter. Miss the cooter. Want MORE cooter!
Bummer…Bring back the Bamacross original…TRUSSVILLE!
i’ll try to get my hands on a weed eater. see you sunday.
I’ve thought about that. The problem is that the Oct. Nov. dates are right in the swing of football season and that park will be packed. Maybe not on Sunday…I’ll check that out. Trussville was great to work with and super supportive of us using their park.
Sad about Cooter’s Pond – one of my favorite courses. But glad it may come back in 2011.
How about West Oxmoor? I though that was a fun course. A little too “Junglecross” for some, but I enjoyed it.
I will the mower and the bike.
What about a faster run of Heardmont. I could check into it. We did a good job of LMT that year and want us back.
