…was a blast as usual. The weather was cool and the racing was hot! Wig did a great job with the course once again, somehow eeking out 1-2 more minutes from last year on a pretty compact area. The sandpit claimed victims left and right – not just from crashing but from tearing legs off. It’s funny how the bigger folks seem to be able to get through the sand with ease and smaller ones always seem to struggle…hmmm, maybe a cross race on the beach would suit me?
It seems that there was some controversy in the men’s 1/2/3 race scoring. Jan Kolar flatted in the first lap and had to pit. He came through the second lap dead last and storming. Looking back through the lap sheets “x” made his way all the way up to second place, impressive no doubt! The only problem is that “x” was written because his number was pinned on the wrong side…sorry Jan, this is the racers responsibility.
I’ll post some of the finishes before scores go up this week…Anniston always leaves me feeling like I’ve been pushed around by a cheerleader…

i predict the other alan and i will be beating each other up again, no matter where we finish.
So there was some leniency shown to certain racers and not to others; that’s pretty interesting.
