What a great season. There was plenty of anxiety coming into this season for many reasons, venues, me promoting races again and many new racers to contend with. I think everything went well, the numbers were up as was the competition.
We pick up new faces for our travelling show every year and it seems that they are always positive additions to the bamacross family, this year was no exception. We were very lucky to have the support of Velocity Procycle, St. Vincent’s, Chain Reaction, Bike Link, Bob’s, BBC, Cahaba, Planet Bike, Twin Six, Hammer, Phillip and Katherine Thompson, Red Bike Coffee and Wig’s Wheels. I also want to give big thanks to George Mattison and Matt Burks who showed up anytime I needed them to set up or tear down. Jeff Haines did a great job once again as our chief referee – with a big hand from his sister.
CCR, Red Mtn and Omar Fraser did a stellar job helping out with this final race setup and tear down. I really appreciate George, Matt, Mitch, Doug, Alan, Justin,Mick< and Mike sticking around to help tear down last night – huge props! I will be posting more info on the Gadsden race this week, so stay tuned!
